Oyster shells stabilize the pH / KH-value which a sudden pH crash is to avoid it. If the KH value drops to dissolve the shells until balance is reached again. Grows on the oyster shell oyster biology so well suited as static filtermatriaal. To save two birds with one stone: filtration capacity and a stable pH.

The oyster shells are packed in a netverpakking allowing the shells to carry and easy to explain in the filter. This network is completely water resistant. Thus the filter is easy to rinse the entire area just to get out of the filter. The shells are washed and are imported from Japan. They have a soft texture makes them good in the water. By the structure of the shells, the water flows well for optimum contact with the shells.
